Olympic Day is more than just a sports event, it is about participating in sport as a way of life, learning and understanding the Olympic values and enjoying the many sports there are. Many events take place around the world and AIMS member federations participate in various forms. The AIMS leadership came together in Lausanne, President Stephan Fox, General Secretary Gerhard Zimmermann and Council Member Michal Buchel, all enjoyed the Olympic Day at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne organized by the IOC and opened by the IOC president, Dr. Thomas Bach.
The AIMS President Mr. Fox also took time out to visit the many fun activities, including the volleyball games in which IOC and GAISF/SportAccord teams participated. AIMS General Secretary Mr. Zimmermann summed it up – “a truly memorable day and a great atmosphere which motivates us to continue in the Olympic Values”
