On the 12th on August, AIMS President and General Secretary were invited to attend an exclusive event in Rio de Janeiro, hosted by UN-Habitat and Nexus Brazil, to speak on the topic of Youth and Sustainable Development Goals during their time in Rio as part of the Olympic Games.
The AIMS President spoke on using the power of sport to create a positive change. Gifts were presented by the General Secretary of AIMS, Gerhard Zimmermann to the hosts of the event, Ms Isabela Perez, a member of Nexus and philanthropist and organiser Ms Dana PodmolikovaYouth & Urban Sports Specialist from UN-Habitat.
AIMS will continue to collaborate and cooperate with it’s partners and other bodies to advocate the power of sport for the betterment of society.
