Mr Bouzou opened speaking on the international values that sport conveys of hard work, fair play, respect, the kind of references that society needs today. He stressed that the IFs are useful platforms, stating that “…when policies are made, it is established all over the planet; this provides an opportunity, not only to better sport, but guarantees equity for participants all over the world to be able to compete in the same conditions which in turn sets up dialogue where sport can contribute towards peace.” He urged the delegates as sport leaders talk to governments to tackle issues as  equity is exercised through sport and the community work on peace through sport is growing.

A number of AIMS federations already have established close cooperation with Peace and Sport. Mr Bouzou reported on the highly successful April 6 event, where 850 projects were put together as a massive contribution to sport and peace, where 15 million people were involved in the campaign; the goal being to create synergies and put key people in the spotlight, where needed. He thanked the involved international federations for their past and current involvement in the White Card Campaign, urging everyone to join. Mr Bouzou also congratulated AIMS and Mr Fox for his vision and energy and hopes on further cooperation between Peace and Sport and AIMS.

Mr Bouzou was honoured with an AIMS plaque as a token of appreciation of his contribution and the collaboration of Peace and Sport and AIMS.
